“Raise Your Hand, Stop the Cab”: CEO Cabs Launches India’s First Hybrid Taxi Service in Pune

A Revolutionary Step Towards Honest Fares, Driver Freedom, and Passenger Safety

Pune: In a move set to redefine urban commuting in India, CEO Cabs has launched the country’s first hybrid taxi service—a unique blend of app-based and traditional street-hailing systems. The initiative, titled “Raise Your Hand, Stop the Cab,” was officially introduced in Pune on Friday during a press conference held at the Pune Shramik Patrakar Sangh.

Announcing the launch, Durgesh Tiwari, Founder and CEO of CEO Cabs, emphasized the company’s mission to blend India’s travel habits with modern transparency and fairness. Unlike other cab aggregators, CEO Cabs follows a zero-commission model, empowering drivers to earn the full fare without deductions, whether paid in cash or digitally.

A Service That Respects Both Drivers and Riders

Speaking at the press meet, Tiwari explained, “This is not just an app—it’s a service crafted to fit India’s roads and culture. CEO Cabs is the only taxi company in India operating strictly as per RTO-approved meter rates, ensuring transparency for every passenger.”

According to him, drivers are under no targets and have the liberty to work on their own terms. “Our goal is to ensure that local drivers, especially rickshaw drivers, earn more through regulated and fair pricing,” he added.

CEO Cabs: Built on Trust, Transparency, and Local Values

Kapil Bhanushali, President of CEO Cabs, spoke about the core philosophy behind their flagship campaign. “‘Raise Your Hand, Stop the Cab’ is a nostalgic and powerful concept. It brings back the comfort of traditional hailing, while maintaining the modern conveniences of an app.”

Bhanushali also revealed that the company has already received a strong response from both riders and drivers in Pune. With operations live in Pune and Mumbai, the service is now preparing to expand into Nashik and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad).

Strong Focus on Women’s Safety and Data Privacy

Swapnil Raut, Chief Officer – Strategy and Planning, highlighted how CEO Cabs prioritizes women’s safety. “Passengers don’t need to share their personal mobile numbers while booking a ride. Instead, they can use a family member or friend’s number,” he explained.

Moreover, the platform is backed by a strict data protection policy, ensuring that no personal information is shared or misused under any circumstance. “This creates a sense of both security and peace of mind for every passenger,” Raut noted.

A Movement for Drivers’ Rights and Economic Independence

Raunak Patel, Executive Director of CEO Cabs, described the platform not just as a service, but as a movement. “We are building a future where fair fares, passenger safety, and driver independence are at the core. This model could redefine how India looks at mobility,” he said.

Backed by Local Unions, Focused on Regional Development

Varsha Shinde-Patil, President of the Maa Saheb Cab Drivers’ Union, expressed her full support for CEO Cabs. “This is the only company that puts the welfare of drivers first. Unlike multinational aggregators that operate under aggregator permits, CEO Cabs prioritizes local RTO guidelines, which directly benefits both the drivers and passengers.”

She further added, “We are proud to stand with a company that truly understands and respects local communities.”

The Road Ahead

As Indian cities grow more complex and crowded, services like CEO Cabs bring a refreshing change. By combining technology, tradition, and transparency, the company offers a realistic and scalable model for public transportation in India.

With its strong emphasis on honest fares, driver welfare, and passenger safety, CEO Cabs is poised to become a trustworthy name in urban mobility—not just in Pune, but across India.
