On February 19, the special literary train was flagged off from Pune Railway Station in the presence of Marathi Language Development Minister Uday Samant. The train is headed towards Delhi, where the 98th All India Marathi Sahitya Sammelan will take place from February 21 to 23.

During the flagging-off ceremony, Minister Uday Samant expressed his immense pride in being the Welcoming Guest for the Sahitya Yatri Sammelan. He also announced a major achievement for the Marathi language – the establishment of a Marathi Study Center at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi. Named after renowned poet Kusumagraj, this center is set to launch on February 27, coinciding with Marathi Language Pride Day. The introduction of an M.A. Marathi course at JNU is another significant step towards preserving and promoting the language on a national platform.
