In a city where the hustle of everyday life often overshadows regular health checkups, a generous and much-needed initiative is making headlines. Chandrayya Marayya Bhandari Social and Educational Institute, in collaboration with Red Swastik Society, is set to organize a comprehensive free health and diagnostic camp on Monday, April 14, in Pune. The event is being held in memory of Late Sunilsheth Bhandari and promises to offer holistic healthcare services — all at zero cost.
The camp will run from 9:30 AM to 5 PM, at a convenient and centrally located spot — in front of Hotel Rachna, Shivaji Nagar, opposite the Naveen Metro Station. The organizers have ensured the participation of some of the region’s top medical professionals, covering a wide range of specialties.
From cardiology to neurology, gynecology to cancer screening, and even artificial organ consultations, this one-day camp is a true boon for Pune’s citizens, especially those who may otherwise not have access to advanced diagnostics and treatments.
What sets this camp apart is not just the free consultations, but the comprehensive diagnostic services being offered. Tests including blood pressure, blood sugar, thyroid, ECG, and other routine screenings will be carried out on-site. Based on the diagnosis, the camp will also facilitate free follow-up treatments and surgeries, if required, for serious conditions like heart ailments, strokes, kidney disorders, liver issues, and cataracts.
“Healthcare is a basic right, not a privilege. Through this initiative, we are ensuring that every citizen gets the chance to safeguard their health without worrying about affordability,” said Maruti Bhandari, President of Chandrayya Marayya Bhandari Social and Educational Institute, during a press conference.
The health camp brings together a robust panel of expert doctors from Pune and Mumbai:
“This is a rare opportunity for people to get expert advice and necessary medical interventions without spending a single rupee,” noted Ashok Shinde, State Secretary of Red Swastik Society.
Adding to the community spirit, the event will also feature a blood donation camp. In a thoughtful gesture, attractive gifts will be given to each blood donor, recognizing their contribution to society.
“Every drop of blood donated can save lives. With this drive, we’re not only encouraging healthy citizens to donate but also spreading awareness about the importance of being a regular donor,” said District President Santosh Barne.
Also present at the press conference were Secretary Sachin Bhamre, Treasurer Kamlesh Rakshe, Dr. Baban Dolas, Nandu Raigade, Dr. Umakant Wable, Dr. Supe, and Captain Omprakash Bahiwal — all playing pivotal roles in coordinating this massive healthcare initiative.
In today’s fast-paced world, health often takes a backseat. But initiatives like these shine a light on the importance of preventive care and early diagnosis. The April 14 camp is not just an event — it’s a movement, one that aims to uplift the underserved and remind everyone that health truly is wealth.
With easy access, expert care, and a wide range of services, this free health camp in Pune is open to all, regardless of age, gender, or financial status. Citizens are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity, bring along family members, and spread the word in their communities.
