
Pune (May 4): In recognition of his outstanding performance during a crucial police operation in Nagpur, Police Inspector Machindra Pandit was honored by the Government of Maharashtra. His effective leadership and dedication in the field of law enforcement earned him praise at the state level.
To mark this achievement, his close associates and well-wishers—Balasaheb Dabhekar, Ankush Kakade, and Satish Govekar—organized a grand civic felicitation ceremony at Hotel Maurya in Pune. The event was made even more special as it was presided over by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sandeep Singh Gill, who felicitated Inspector Pandit with heartfelt appreciation.

The function saw the presence of many respected individuals from the community and police department, including Pandit Wagh, Thombre, Mawale, Ghadge, Kadu, Yenpure, Sanjay Ubhe, Tushar Patil, Bapusaheb Bhegde, Balasaheb Bodke, Dhananjay Wadkar, Niranjan Dabhekar, Balasaheb Jadhav, Rajendra Jadhav, Vijay Bondre, Raju Lavate, Umesh Mistry, Chandan Bakre, Atul Behere, Deepak Khedekar, Sudhir Shinde, Ajit Darekar, Datta Sagar, Manoj Dongre, Ambar Bhau, Mukund Dada Pandit, and Nilesh Wavare.
The felicitation included traditional honors such as a shawl, coconut, floral bouquet, the prestigious Shindeshahi turban, and a commemorative memento. These symbols of respect reflected the high regard in which Inspector Pandit is held by his peers and community.
During his speech, DCP Sandeep Singh Gill lauded Inspector Pandit for his integrity, courage, and service. “Such officers set an inspiring example in the police force. We are proud of Inspector Pandit and wish him success in his future endeavors,” he stated.
In his reply, a visibly moved Inspector Pandit expressed deep gratitude. “I have been felicitated by various organizations and government bodies, but the respect and affection shown today by my close circle of friends is truly heartwarming. This event will remain etched in my memory and gives me further motivation to serve with dedication,” he said.
