Pune, June 3:
The Indian Institute of Interior Designers (IIID), Pune Regional Chapter is set to organize the much-awaited ‘Design Mela 2025’, a three-day event dedicated to creativity, collaboration, and innovation in the field of interior design. The event will take place from June 12 to June 14 at Mahalakshmi Lawns, Karvenagar, Pune, and will be open from 10 AM to 9 PM daily, according to Chapter Chairman Ajay Panchmatia.

Speaking at a press conference held at Patrakar Bhavan, Panchmatia shared that the mela is open not only to design professionals and students but also to citizens of Pune, offering them a unique opportunity to engage with the latest trends in interior design and related creative industries.

A Platform to Showcase Innovation and Collaboration

‘Design Mela 2025’ is the flagship event of IIID Pune, aimed at bringing together industry professionals, students, design experts, and institutions shaping India’s design landscape. The exhibition will feature cutting-edge innovations, sustainable design solutions, and product showcases from leading names in the industry.

The inauguration will be graced by renowned industrialist Shri Prataprao Pawar, adding further significance to the event. IIID Pune, as a respected body, represents professionals from interior design, architecture, and other allied creative domains, making this event a confluence of design excellence and forward-thinking ideas.

Rich Line-up of Workshops and Seminars for Students and Professionals

The mela will include a range of thematic workshops, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, curated especially for interior design students and young professionals. These sessions aim to provide practical insights, hands-on learning, and networking opportunities with established industry leaders.

Participation in these workshops and sessions requires prior registration, and interested individuals—both students and practicing professionals—are encouraged to register early due to limited slots.

Free Entry for General Public

In a welcome move, the organizers have announced that the event is open and free for all visitors, including Pune residents who are curious about the world of interior design. This inclusive approach reflects IIID Pune’s goal to raise awareness about design among the general public and bridge the gap between designers and society.

Strong Support from IIID Leadership

Several esteemed dignitaries and office bearers of IIID were present at the press conference, including former National President Shri Pratap Jadhav, Honorary Secretary Rajesh Puranik, Joint Secretary Unmesh Mistry, Treasurer Harpreet Anand, and committee members Rajesh Kurade, Sudin Jayappa, Aditya Arole, Virendra Patel, K.H. Rahul, and Subodh Dixit. Their collective presence underscores the significance and scale of the upcoming event.

Design for a Better Tomorrow

Chairman Ajay Panchmatia concluded the briefing by emphasizing the event’s broader mission:
“Design Mela 2025 is not just an exhibition—it’s a celebration of the ideas and people who are reshaping the way we live, build, and interact with our spaces. Through this platform, we hope to ignite creativity, foster learning, and encourage meaningful connections within the design fraternity and the larger community.”
