Pune – In a moment of immense pride for India and Maharashtra, Prof. Aditya Ravindra Kedari of MIT Art, Design and Technology University (MIT-ADT), Pune, has achieved a remarkable hattrick of medals at the Asian Indoor Rowing Championship 2025, held in Pattaya, Thailand.
Representing India at this prestigious international event, Prof. Kedari—who teaches at MIT-ADT’s School of Law—secured Gold in the 2 km Masters Mixed Doubles, Silver in the 2 km Men’s Masters Single Scull, and Bronze in the 500m Masters Single Scull, marking a rare triple-podium finish by a full-time working professional in Indian rowing history.
In the highly competitive 2 km Men’s Masters Single Scull, Prof. Kedari clocked an impressive 6:27.5, earning him the silver medal—just behind his Indian teammate Siddharth, who took gold at 6:25.1. The bronze went to Hisham from Saudi Arabia, who finished at 6:40.7.

Teaming up with Harpreet Kaur in the 2 km Masters Mixed Doubles, Kedari delivered a standout performance that secured the gold medal for India. He rounded off his medal haul with a gritty performance in the 500m Masters Single Scull, bagging bronze, and completing a hattrick that underscores his elite status in the sport.
This isn’t the first time Prof. Kedari has made waves on the rowing circuit. He was the gold medalist in the 500m Masters category at last year’s edition of the championship. Earlier this year, after winning silver at the National Indoor Rowing Championship in Punjab, he earned selection to the Indian national team by the Rowing Federation of India (RFI), led by President Rajalakshmi Singh Deo.

Training under renowned coach Sandeep Bhapkar at MIT-ADT’s in-house Boat Club, Prof. Kedari has significantly improved his performance, both in endurance and technique. Notably, he remains the only full-time working professional in India to claim a medal hattrick at the Asian level, and the only athlete from Maharashtra to be selected for two consecutive Asian Championships.
Prof. Kedari’s extraordinary achievement has drawn praise from leaders across academia and sports, including:
Prof. Kedari’s medal hattrick is more than a personal victory—it’s a testament to the balance of academic excellence and athletic spirit at MIT-ADT University.
